Weather conditions for retreats

First priority of watersports for our Socean Retreats is wave surfing. Despites this, we are in no control over the weather conditions, working with nature humbles one and teaches one important lessons about accepting and letting go of what you can not control. If the weather conditions are not for wave surfing, we will organize other activities such as SUP, SUP yoga, windsurf, surfskate or ocean dips with sauna. The activities will be planned by the retreat  responsible and surf instructors for your safety and in order to align with the concept of the retreat.

In case of stormy weather no refunds are issued.

We will go to great lengths to find a good and safe place to take you on the water, but conditions may occur where it is simply not possible or safe to go on the water. Our experienced instructors are ready to make these decisions.

Privacy Policy

We don’t sell your private information or use them for anything other than registration at events or similar purchased things through Socean.

Cookies will only be used for statistics and functionality for the website only, and you can at all times delete. The website is encrypted with SSL protocol.

Payment is through mobile pay and paypal only at the moment, until we find a payment method through our website.

The website uses the following currencies for pricing:

When you register for an event, you can always withdraw the registration of your personal information by sending an email to info@socean.dk, and the information will be deleted.

Cancelation policy

Retreats

Retreats are prebooked and pre-payed. Only when your spot is paid for you can consider your booking valid. In case of cancelation you get:

100% money refund if you cancel up until 30 days before arrival

50% money refund up if you cancel between 30-10 days before

If you cancel less than 10 days before we’re unfortunately not able to refund your spot. In case of illness or similar conditions council your own insurrance

Events

When attending our surfskate events or other pop-up day events, you pay when you get there. No pre-paying is necessary and no refunds are therefore given.

Complaints

Opportunities for appeal

In the event of a complaint, our e-mail address must be stated:  info@socean.dk as well as the website on which you purchased the item.

A complaint about a product or service can be submitted to the Center for Complaint Resolution, Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg. You can complain to the Center for Complaint Resolution via the Complaints Portal for the Board of Trustees  (Link) .

For EU citizens outside the EU, complaints must be submitted via the EU Commission’s online complaint platform at ec.europa.eu

Information about complaints

A complaint about a product or service purchased from us can be filed with the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority’s Centre for Complaint Resolution, Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby. You can complain to the Centre for Complaint Resolution via www.forbrug.dk.

The European Commission’s online complaint portal can also be used when filing a complaint. This is particularly relevant if you are a consumer residing in another EU country. Complaints can be filed here – http://ec.europa.eu/odr. When filing a complaint, you must provide our email address info@westwind.dk

Insurance

All teaching and all activities with Socean take place at your own risk. It is thus your own insurance that is valid.
