The face behind Socean<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Mie Bergmann is the owner and founder of Socean. She has a master's degree in educational psychology and a bachelor's degree in psychomotor therapy, dealing with the connection between the body and the psyche. And then she completely fell in love with the sea and the surf sport.<\/p>\n

Mie has always been interested in people and to do the best for others. She has worked abroad with volunteering at the orphanage since she was 16 years old.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, she has also worked at the orphanage in Denmark and as a psychiatric familieterapeut in Aarhus municipality, she has worked as a psychomotor therapist with young adults with anxiety, stress and depression, and she has developed training materials and conducted training in personal development for young adults. Most recently she has taught at the bachelor's degree programme and trained other psychomotor therapists. <\/p>\n

To host and facilitator of safe and nourishing environment for the people has always been a dream of Mie, and to merge the personal development of surfing in the retreat format in the Cold Hawaii brings this dream to life.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The concept of Socean<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Socean is a concept that combines surfing with personal development. The foundation of our concept is based on three main pillars: Soul, Ocean & Social \u2013 from which the name Socean is derived. Soul<\/strong>, Ocean<\/strong> & Social<\/strong> \u2013 from which the name Socean is derived. The concept is based on an understanding of human health and well-being that derive partly by Mies professional background as a psychomotor therapist, where one works with the whole person; as a body, a mind and a social being.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

From this, from surfterapiens DNA, and Blue Mind<\/em> science is Socean concept developed by Mie itself. Here coupler we are nature, including the sea, which are the basic element, and Soceans kernel relies upon an understanding of the<\/span> man as a: a body, a mind, nature, and social creatures. We believe that each of these aspects mutually affect each other.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

This understanding is thus the foundation upon which our retreats are built on, and you will find that they are integrated into the whole frame of it. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The aspect of nature is mostly ocean and the sport of surfing, which offers us so many gifts, such as: the Doctrine of acceptance, flow, to overcome ourselves, to be playful and all the health benefits of being in and close to the sea.<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0The benefits are increased health both mentally, physically and socially. Research shows that what it means to be in or close to the sea increases our sense of belonging, our creativity, it reduces the stressniveauerne and get the brain and body to excrete all the good lykkehormoner.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
